About the Calendar Keepers
The Calendar Keepers is the collective signature of All Year, its editorial desk, and not a person. It reads the year of five venues in Winnipeg and at South Beach season by season, as questions about the trip.

Same hours, different trips
In every season, Club Regent Casino and McPhillips Station Casino open at 10 AM daily. Both close at 3 AM, or at 5 AM after Friday and Saturday. Shark Club Gaming Centre and Assiniboia Downs' Club West Gaming Lounge both hold 10 AM to 1 AM. South Beach Casino & Resort runs 10 AM to 3 AM. None of the five published seasonal hours when the guide checked.
What the season changes is the trip: parking under cover, the ride home, the lake road, the track. Club Regent's free parkade and Cityplace Lots 1 and 4 near Shark Club put the car under cover. Lot 4 is closed on weekends except to monthly parkers and for events. Live racing at Assiniboia Downs runs only in season. Behind the answers sits a desk: no name, no portrait, no job title, no years of experience, no visits.
How facts are checked
The facts in this guide were checked in October 2026, using each venue's own pages and those of Cityplace. Winnipeg Transit, Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries, the LGCA and Travel Manitoba were checked too. Only what holds from one season to the next is listed: hours, food, parking, transit, hotels and the rules at the door. Shows, race dates and holiday hours stay on each venue's own pages.
Should two pages from one venue show conflicting numbers, the guide skips that number or notes the mismatch. Kilometres are straight lines from each venue to Winnipeg City Hall, not driving distances. The full method sits on the page How the seasons are checked.
An image generator produced every picture on All Year. The Club Regent entrance and hall, South Beach and the Assiniboia Downs stands each follow real photos of those places. By contrast, the snowy street, the lake shore, the river path in spring and the elms of fall are made up. Not one person shows up in any of them, whatever the season. Each venue map is drawn by code.
Who pays
Coat not yet off, one point: All Year is a guide with no casino, so it refuses wagers and holds no accounts. Paid links turn up on its home page alone, and an Ad tag goes with each one. Each sends readers toward one partner, an online casino, which may be replaced and which pays All Year a commission. Venues, Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries, PlayNow and help services never pay the guide. No money ever changes hands for the links to venues or to help services.
