Who pays for All Year

Paid links are kept to one page, the home page. Three appear there, and each carries the Ad mark. The menu has one, a block under the first screen has another, and the last comes close to the bottom. Whichever is clicked, it opens one shared online casino partner.

These links earn the site a commission. The partner behind them can change, so the guide does not name it. Inner pages, from the venue pages to the helpline, carry no paid links at all.

Behind those links stands a private online casino. PlayNow it is not, and Manitoba has not licensed it. It has no connection with Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries (MBLL). It is also unconnected with the Liquor, Gaming and Cannabis Authority of Manitoba (LGCA) and with every venue in this guide.

MBLL's Voluntary Self-Exclusion does not cover it. In Manitoba, PlayNow.com is the only licensed online gambling site. PlayNow.com is run by MBLL, which describes it as the province's sole legal, regulated multi-product gambling site.

Venues never pay this site. Neither do MBLL, PlayNow or any help service. Links to venues and to help services, such as the Gambling Helpline, are never paid.

No venue can buy a place in the guide or a line in the season planner. The guide lists only what holds from one season to the next: floor and table hours, food, parking, transit, bus tours, hotels and the rules at the door. It leaves out shows, race dates, holiday hours and anything else that changes within weeks; where a venue posts them, the guide points to its own pages.
